Your role as Country Manager

In your role as Country Manager for Germany, you will have overall responsibility for NewCold’s warehousing and transportation operations, with the goal of:

  • Ensuring the highest quality of service for our customers
  • To achieve sustainable and profitable growth in line with the earnings targets set out in the Annual Operating Plan
  • Leading and developing a high-performing, motivated operational team
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations
  • Aligning the country-specific strategy with NewCold’s overarching goals and objectives

Your tasks

  • Official representation of the company in dealings with customers, government agencies, public institutions, and labor unions
  • Evaluating, maintaining, and developing customer relationships to ensure a high level of trust and reliability
  • Reaching out to potential new customers and presenting thecompany's activities
  • Regular communication with customers during both formal and informal meetings
  • Continuous monitoring of the domestic market and analysis of competitors' activities
  • Responsibility for preparing and presenting the Annual Operating Plan in accordance withheadquarters’ guidelines
  • Responsibility for determining the annual investment requirements in line with the company's objectives
  • Development and implementation of an efficient organizational structure to achieve operational and financial objectives
  • Ensuring the proper implementation and ongoing compliance with quality management systems
  • Preparation and submission of monthly performance reports to headquarters, including in-depth analyses of results
  • Ensuring full compliance with national legal requirements (including labor laws, environmental regulations, and financial and reporting obligations)
  • Actively building and maintaining a positive corporate image, as well as strengthening NewCold’s market position at the national and international levels—including through the use of appropriate marketing tools
  • Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities in line with NewCold’s strategic direction

Your profile

You have:

  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, economics, orengineering
 
  • At least 7 years of management experience leading an operational business unit or a company in the fields of warehousing, supply chain, transportation, or food production in Germany
 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
 
  • At least 5 years of experience in change and transformation management
 
  • Strong communication skills and empathy
 
  • Experience in business development and relationship management
 
  • Fluency in German and English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus

The facility comprises a fully automated 37-metre high cold store and 2 conventional cold stores. The high-bay warehouse has a floor area of 129 x 66 meters and a capacity of 68,000 pallets. The warehouse is currently being expanded by 32,000 pallet spaces.

The date for commissioning will be announced shortly. The two conventional cold stores have a total capacity of 20,000 euro pallets.
